Carousel Rug

Life is like a carousel. It goes up and down. All you gotta do is just stay on.
Carousel rug is an ode to joy and happiness. It is meant to inspire movement, dynamism and the vitality of life.
The concept behind the rug was to gradually create a composition by multiplying a sole element, “the carousel”, that due to its movement along its journey would suffer a transformation that changes its initial form, leaving behind parts of it.
The background of the rug pattern is hand-knotted in loop pile with wild hemp, while the elements of the pattern are popping out in an alternation of himalayan wool and Chinese silk in cut pile, creating the three dimensional look of the rug.
